BEIJING, Mar. 25 -- Chinese Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun, met with General Mao Sopan, deputy commander of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, in Beijing on March 25.
董军说，中柬友谊历久弥新、代代相传。在习近平主席和柬方领导人战略引领下，中柬命运共同体建设进入高质量、高水平、高标准的新时代。两国领导人就发展军事合作达成重要共识，落实好这些共识是两军的共同责任。近年来，两军各领域合作保持高水平,陆军在团组互访、联演联训、院校交流等方面合作成果丰硕。双方应进一步深化战略沟通、用好合作机制、提升合作质效，为维护地区和平贡献力量。
Admiral Dong Jun said that the friendship between China and Cambodia is enduring and has been passed down from generation to generation. Under the strategic guidance by Chinese President Xi Jinping and the leader of the Cambodian side, the building of China-Cambodia community with a shared future has entered a new era of high quality, high level and high standard. The leaders of the two countries have reached important consensus on developing military cooperation, and it is the joint responsibility of the two militaries to implement these consensus. In recent years, the two militaries have maintained a high level of cooperation in various fields, and the two armies have carried out fruitful cooperation in mutual visits, joint exercises and training, and exchanges between academies. Both sides should further deepen strategic communication, make good use of cooperation mechanisms, improve the quality and effectiveness of cooperation, and contribute to maintaining regional peace.
毛索潘感谢中方长期以来为柬方提供的真诚帮助，表示柬坚定不移奉行一个中国原则，支持中方坚定维护自身核心利益，愿与中方携手努力，不断巩固加强包括陆军在内的两军务实交流合作。
General Mao Sopan expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for providing sincere assistance to Cambodia over the years, saying that Cambodia will unswervingly adhere to the one-China principle, support China in firmly safeguarding its core interests, and is willing to work together with China to continuously consolidate and strengthen practical exchanges and cooperation between the two militaries, including the two armies.
