ANTSIRANANA, Madagascar, Aug. 3 -- On Thursday local time, the Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark, which is on the Mission Harmony-2024 in Madagascar, held a flag-raising ceremony together with the Chinese Embassy in Madagascar to celebrate the 97th founding anniversary of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).
马达加斯加安齐拉纳纳8月3日电 当地时间8月1日，正在马达加斯加执行“和谐使命-2024”任务的中国海军和平方舟医院船，与我驻马达加斯加大使馆共同举行升国旗仪式，庆祝中国人民解放军建军97周年。
Around 8:00 a.m., the Chinese national flag rose steadily on the hospital ship accompanied by the Chinese national anthem. Members of the hospital ship lined up and saluted the national flag. Wang Jing, a nurse on the ship, said, "This is the first Army Day I have spent overseas. As a member undertaking the Mission Harmony-2024, I feel honored to bring health and hope to the African people."
当天8时许，在嘹亮的国歌声中，一面鲜艳的五星红旗在医院船上冉冉升起。医院船官兵整齐列队、庄严敬礼。“这是我第一次在海外过‘八一’。作为执行‘和谐使命-2024’任务的一员，能为非洲民众送去健康与希望，我感到非常光荣。”医院船护士王婧说。
After the flag-raising ceremony, all the members of the hospital ship engaged in the medical service. Since setting sail on June 16, the hospital ship Peace Ark has visited Seychelles, Tanzania and Madagascar, treated nearly 20,000 patients and conducted nearly 300 surgical operations altogether. These efforts have earned high praise from the government and people of the visited countries.
升旗仪式结束后，医院船官兵立即投入到医疗服务工作中。自6月16日起航以来，和平方舟医院船已先后到访塞舌尔、坦桑尼亚、马达加斯加3国，累计诊疗患者近2万人次，实施手术近300例，获得了到访国家政府和民众的好评。
