DAR ES SALAAM, Mar. 29 -- The 45th Chinese naval escort taskforce concluded its goodwill visit to Tanzania and departed the port of Dar es Salaam on the afternoon of March 27, local time.
The 45th escort taskforce arrived in Tanzania on the morning of March 23 for a five-day goodwill visit.
During the visit, the commanding officer of the taskforce called on Rear Admiral Ramson Godwin, Commander of the Tanzanian Navy, and had friendly exchanges with him. Representatives of the taskforce visited the Dar es Salaam Station, an important hub in the Tanzania-Zambia Railway, and then paid their respects at the Chinese Experts Cemetery in Tanzania. A deck reception was also held on the ship Urumqi of the taskforce, during which ship visits and basketball matches were organized by service members of the two countries.
