The CPV martyrs' cemetery in Kujang County serves as the final resting place for over 1,170 martyrs. Ambassador Wang and all Chinese attendees presented flower baskets at the monument and stood for a moment of silence to pay their respects with bows.
Staff members of the cemetery brief on relevant details.
Cemetery administrators of the DPRK briefed on the maintenance and preservation of the martyrs' cemeteries, noting that DPRK President Kim Il Sung had instructed that cemeteries be built in scenic locations at times of commemorative significance. During major holidays, citizens of the DPRK regularly visit the cemeteries to pay their respects to the CPV martyrs.
Ambassador Wang expressed gratitude to the Worker's Party of Korea (WPK) and government of the DPRK for their commitment to the maintenance and protection of the CPV martyrs' cemeteries.
