BEIJING, Jan. 1 -- Starting from January 1, 2026, new sleeve insignias featuring flag patterns for the four strategic arms of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), namely the Aerospace Force, the Cyberspace Force, the Information Support Force and the Joint Logistics Support Force, were officially put into use.
The four strategic arms' new flag-emblem sleeve insignias are designed based on the flag of the Chinese PLA, as known as the August 1st army flag, and remain consistent with the basic layout of the flags of Chinese PLA's four services, the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the Rocket Force, with upper and lower sections in a golden-ratio structure. The flag-emblem sleeve insignias of different arms adopt main colors with distinctive features related to their respective arms, along with auxiliary stripes.
