RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Jan. 15 -- The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy's hospital ship Silk Road Ark (Hull 867), which is on the Mission Harmony 2025, dispatched an expert team to Brazilian naval medical institutions to conduct exchange activities.
At the Marcílio Dias naval hospital, Chinese military medical experts visited the outpatient system, wards, and research institutions. The two sides held a medical forum and exchanged views on cutting-edge topics and clinical translation achievements.
The Chinese experts also visited the Brazilian Navy Operational Medical Center. Both sides discussed issues related to the handling of complex injuries and the improvement of emergency response time, accumulating valuable experience for conducting joint humanitarian rescue operations and dealing with sudden security incidents in the future.
On January 14, local time, medics from Brazilian naval medical institutions boarded the Chinese hospital ship Silk Road Ark to observe a combat casualty care drill, gaining a good understanding of the Chinese PLA Navy's latest achievements in combat casualty care techniques.
