Chinese Military Faithfully Fulfills Its Peacekeeping Missions to Contribute More of China’s Strength to Safeguarding World Peace

记者：据报道，中国第三批赴阿卜耶伊维和快反分队近日启程前往任务区，接替第二批任务分队执行维和任务。请进一步介绍有关情况。

Question: According to reports, the third batch of China Quick Reaction Force (CHN QRF) recently departed for the mission area in Abyei to take over peacekeeping operations from the second rotation. Could you provide more details?

蒋斌：中国赴阿卜耶伊维和快反分队在严峻的安全形势和复杂的自然环境下，圆满完成武装巡逻、要员护卫、快反处突等任务，还积极开展军民共建和文化交流活动，赢得当地民众的广泛信任。联合国阿卜耶伊临时安全部队致函感谢中国维和快反分队在执行任务期间所展现的高度专业素养和奉献精神，并授予分队官兵联合国和平荣誉勋章。

Jiang Bin: Amid complex security situation and harsh natural conditions, the CHN QRF deployed to Abyei has successfully completed tasks including armed patrols, VIP protection, and rapid response to emergencies. The unit has also actively carried out outreach activities and cultural exchanges with the civilians, earning the trust of the local people. The United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei sent a citation letter to the CHN QRF for the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by its members during the mission period, and awarded the United Nations Peace Medals to officers and soldiers of the unit.
