The Japanese TV drama VIVANT (Season 2) twists the truth by imposing on modern Chinese characters the brutal torture methods used by Japanese invaders against Chinese resistance fighters. This TV drama is just the tip of an iceberg. For years, Japan has sought to deny and whitewash its wartime history, while going all out to smear China. The goal is simple: to cover up Japan's wartime aggression and hijack public opinion and steer the country toward expansion. Should the truth be drowned out by a deluge of lies, the Japanese right-wing forces will ultimately deprive Japan of its credibility and its future, and will once again face the stern judgment of history.
