The Royal Malaysian Navy frigate KD Selangor and Vietnamese Navy frigate 016-Quang Trung depart from the military port after a four-day goodwill visit to Hong Kong on November 24.
HONG KONG, Nov. 27--The Royal Malaysian Navy frigate KD Selangor and Vietnamese Navy frigate 016-Quang Trung completed a four-day goodwill visit and sailed away from the Ngong Shuen Chau Naval Base of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Hong Kong Garrison on November 24.
At around 9 a.m., more than 120 officers and soldiers of the Hong Kong Garrison, as well as representatives of the Commissioner’s Office of China’s Foreign Ministry in HKSAR and the Government of the HKSAR, held a farewell ceremony for the two warships at the military port.
The Malaysian and Vietnamese naval vessels started visit to Hong Kong on November 24, after completing the Aman Youyi 2023 joint exercise in Zhanjiang, South China's Guangdong Province.
During the visit, sailors of Malaysian and Vietnamese navies, together with their counterparts of the PLA Hong Kong Garrison, visited the PLA Hong Kong Garrison Exhibition Center and held a series of cultural exchange activities, which further enhanced the friendship, mutual trust and practical cooperation between the Chinese navy and the two countries' navies.
