BEIJING, May 17 -- The No. 2 Directly Subordinating Bureau of China Coast Guard (CCG) successfully rescued eight foreign fishermen in distress on May 13.

At 17:31 on Tuesday, the CCG No. 2 Directly Subordinating Bureau was notified that a ROK fishing vessel "887 EOJIN" was in critical distress in the East China Sea. The bureau dispatched ships Sanmen and Meishan (Hull 2303) to rush to the incident area. At the same time, it contacted Zhejiang Maritime Search and Rescue Center to coordinate nearby vessels for joint rescue.
当日17时31分，中国海警局直属第二局接上级通报，1艘韩国籍渔船“887 EOJIN”在东海海域遇险，情况危急。该局指派三门舰和梅山舰全速赶往事发海域，同步对接浙江海洋搜救中心，协调附近船只联合救助。
During the rescue operation, it was learned that due to a hull rupture and water ingress caused by the stern shaft malfunction, a total power failure and serious water inflow put the ROK fishing vessel at risk of capsizing. The ship Sanmen implemented the evacuation and rescue plan, successfully transferring the eight stranded fishermen onboard, providing them with drinking water, food, and other essentials, and conducting health checks.
救助过程中，了解到渔船因尾轴故障导致船体破裂进水，全船失电、进水量大，有倾覆危险。三门舰采取转运救助方案，成功将8名被困渔民安全转运至舰上，及时提供饮水、食物等生活用品，并对身体状况进行检查。
It is learned that the fishing vessel had been operating at sea for 20 days. The CCG's ship Sanmen handed over the rescued fishermen to the ship 5002 of Jeju Maritime Police Agency, the ROK, on the morning of May 14 in the incident sea area.
据了解，该渔船离港作业已20天。5月14日上午，中国海警三门舰与韩国济州海洋警察厅5002船在事发海域顺利完成被救渔民交接。
