BEIJING, Aug. 22 -- On the morning of August 18, the 21st Chinese Peacekeeping Level-1+ Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) participated in the Angel Rescue Exercise organized by the UNIFIL, demonstrating excellent emergency response and coordinated medical support capabilities.

The exercise was set in the scenario that a Spanish patrol convoy was attacked by roadside bombs, resulting in four injuries. The UNIFIL Headquarters' Command Center organized medical personnel from troop-contributing countries to carry out on-site emergency evacuation of the "wounded". The exercise was unscripted, supervised throughout the entire process, and evaluated by specialized personnel, aiming to test the emergency rescue and collaborative support capabilities of the peacekeeping forces. Nine countries including China, Spain, Indonesia, and Serbia participated in the rescue exercise.

The 21st Chinese Peacekeeping Level-1+ Hospital to UNIFIL was responsible for treating the moderately "wounded". The excellent performance of Chinese peacekeeping medical personnel received praise from all parties.
