URUMQI, July 19 -- The Sharp Blade 2025 International Sniper Competition wrapped up at a training base of the Chinese People's Armed Police (PAP) Force in Urumqi City, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on July 19, 2025.
Under the theme of "Forge Special Operations Elite and Promote Pragmatic Cooperation and Exchanges", the competition featured 12 events in four categories, namely the basic precision sniping, typical scenario sniping, comprehensive combat sniping, and long-range challenge sniping.
More than 50 sniper teams from over 20 countries participated in the events. The competition provided snipers from different countries with a good opportunity to compete and learn from each other, exchange views and share experience, and deepen mutual understanding.
As a multilateral military exchange project hosted by the Chinese People's Armed Police (PAP) Force, the biennial Sharp Blade series of international sniper competition aims to promote international military cooperation and exchanges, facilitate the development of combat capabilities, and unite military, armed police and gendarmerie forces from different countries to jointly accomplish the mission of maintaining world peace.
