The Mongolian Cyrillic editions of the first volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China and Up and Out of Poverty were launched in Ulaanbaatar on Friday to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Mongolia.
The two books embody the views and experiences China and the Chinese people have gained on the path forward under President Xi Jinping's leadership, Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga said in a congratulatory message.
Ties and cooperation between China and Mongolia have been further promoted and friendship between the their peoples deepened since the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2014, Battulga said, expressing his wishes that China will be more prosperous and achieve greater accomplishments under Xi's leadership.
Jiang Jianguo, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said the two books are authoritative works that allow readers to understand China's development path and direction.
The fact that the books were published in Mongolia is a great gift the translators and publishers from China and Mongolia presented for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties, and vividly embodies the bilateral exchanges of the countries' governance experiences, Jiang said.
More than 260 people attended the launching ceremony.
Published in September 2014, the first volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China is a compilation of Xi's major works from Nov 15, 2012 to June 13, 2014, including his speeches, talks, interviews, instructions and correspondence.
The book has been distributed in China and abroad in Chinese, English, French, Russian and a number of other languages.
Focusing on poverty alleviation in Ningde, Fujian province, Up and Out of Poverty is a collection of 29 speeches and articles by Xi while he was working as Party secretary of the city from 1988 to 1990.
The book was first published in 1992, and has been translated into English, French and Spanish.
