HONIARA, Aug. 24 -- Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands Manasseh Sogavare boarded the Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark to visit the medical staff on August 20, where he praised the medical service brought by the hospital ship to local people during the ship's first visit to the country since August 19.
霍尼亚拉，8月24日电-- 8月20日，所罗门群岛总理索加瓦雷登上到访的中国海军和平方舟医院船看望医护人员，称赞我医院船首次到访给所罗门人民带来先进医疗服务。
PM Sogavare had a tour of the shipboard equipment and medical service area, and experienced traditional Chinese medicine therapies. He remarked that Peace Ark had set a good example for saving lives and healing the wounded, as well as contributing to world peace.
和平方舟医院船抵达所罗门群岛后，在任务指挥员和中国驻所罗门群岛大使陪同下，索加瓦雷登船参观了舰载装备和医疗服务区，体验了中医等诊疗服务，看望慰问中方医护人员和就诊民众。索加瓦雷表示，和平方舟医院船承载着促进世界和平、救死扶伤、大爱无疆的深刻意涵。
At the end of the visit, PM Manasseh Sogavare expressed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Solomon Islands, the development of bilateral ties has benefitted local people a lot. Therefore, the Solomon Islands will continue to deepen its comprehensive strategic partnership with China and continuously promote the peace and prosperity.
2019年9月，所罗门群岛与台湾当局断绝持续36年的所谓“外交关系”，并同中国建立大使级外交关系。参观结束时，索加瓦雷表示：“我们花了36年时间，才让我们的国家站在正确的一边。”他说，中所建交以来，两国关系发展给所人民带来福祉，所将继续深化同中国全面战略伙伴关系，不断促进和平与繁荣。
