BEIJING, Sept. 29 -- As this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, on September 28, troops assigned to the Chinese PLA Hong Kong Garrison went to Wu Kau Tang Martyrs Memorial Garden in New Territories to pay respects to Hong Kong martyrs in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
More than 200 PLA Hong Kong Garrison troops, as well as representatives from all walks of life in Hong Kong, including representatives of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government, veterans of the Hong Kong-Kowloon Independent Brigade of the East River Column, local residents of Wu Kau Tang village, and Hong Kong youth, attended the event.
