First, it focused on counter-terrorism and humanitarian assistance operations.
Second, the China-Cambodia Joint Support and Training Center at Port Ream provided support for maritime drills for the first time. Both sides' air force helicopters took part in the exercise for the first time. Land, naval, air and joint logistic support troops from both sides conducted drills together.
Third, the exercise consisted of two parts: naval and air drills, ground & air drills.
During the joint exercise, the Chinese participating troops also donated school supplies and provided free medical service to the local community.
