BEIJING, Oct. 17 -- On October 16, 2025, local time, expert exchange activities on medical service, search and rescue, engineering and logistics were held during the "Peace and Friendship 2025" joint exercise in Malaysia.
During the exchange activities, Chinese and Malaysian service members engaged in "brainstorming" session on ten humanitarian assistance scenarios, such as "how to deploy troops rapidly to seize rescue initiative" and "how to ensure timely evacuation of the affected personnel in the shortest possible time". Drawing on their personal experiences in flood fighting and rescue operations, the Chinese participating officers elaborated on their concepts and methods of disaster relief from aspects such as intelligence analysis, equipment support and personnel training.
The Chinese medical and epidemic prevention team visited Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital in Malaysia on the same day. The two sides carried out exchanges on military medical theory, rehabilitation technology, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and other topics. The Chinese side also donated some medical equipment to the Malaysian side.
It is learned that the Chinese medical and epidemic prevention team will conduct expert exchanges, skill exchanges, live-force drills, and other activities with the Malaysian side during the joint exercise.
